Dorchester Brewing Company gives a group several reasons to choose the same address: a taproom, food from M&M BBQ and the Museum of Bad Art. It is a useful option when everyone wants to get out of the house but has a different idea of what an afternoon should include.
Decide what kind of visit you want
The brewery describes indoor and outdoor seating, nonalcoholic drinks and a family-friendly taproom. Children must remain with their parents. Its taproom guide also lists games, including shuffleboard and arcade options. Check the day's arrangements before promising a particular game or outdoor table.
M&M BBQ operates on site, with food ranging from barbecue to sandwiches and vegetarian choices. The brewery does not allow outside food. Look at the restaurant information before arriving, especially if someone in your group has dietary requirements; confirm ingredients directly when ordering.
Leave time for the art
The brewery lists free admission to the Museum of Bad Art. That makes it possible to pair looking at art with a meal or a drink, without buying a separate museum ticket. The venue's homepage links the museum and taproom hours; check each part of the visit because the food counter and museum need not share identical hours.
Plan your stop
1250 Massachusetts Avenue, Dorchester. Start with the live hours and event listings on the brewery's website. For a group outing, check seating and any private-event restrictions before setting a meeting time. Allow time for the meal as well as the exhibition.
