Access for every reader

Accessibility statement

617 News is committed to making its reporting, event information and submission paths usable by people with disabilities.

01

What we are working toward

The site uses semantic headings, keyboard-visible focus, labeled forms, alternative text, responsive layouts and reduced reliance on color alone. New features are reviewed for keyboard, screen-reader and mobile usability.

02

Report a barrier

If something prevents you from reading a story or completing a form, email admin@617news.com. Include the page, the problem, your browser or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it, and the format or accommodation that would help.

03

Standards and guidance

The newsroom uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a practical reference and reviews U.S. Department of Justice web-accessibility guidance as the site evolves.
