Accuracy after publication

Corrections policy

When a material fact is wrong, 617 News corrects the story and tells readers what changed.

01

How corrections work

A correction should identify the inaccurate information, provide the accurate information and carry a timestamp. Minor spelling or formatting fixes that do not change meaning may be corrected without a formal note.

Requests are evaluated against reporting, source material and any new evidence. A request does not guarantee a change, but it will be reviewed in good faith.
